16.

Answer: Save = ₹300, Spend = ₹180, Share = ₹120. In one year, savings = ₹300 × 12 = ₹3,600.

17.

Answer: Profit = ₹2,700 − ₹1,800 = ₹900. End of day = ₹5,000 + ₹900 = ₹5,900.

18.

Answer: Interest = (3000 × 4 × 2) ÷ 100 = ₹240. Balance = ₹3,000 + ₹240 = ₹3,240.

19.

Answer: 1 kg for ₹120 = ₹0.12 per gram. 250 g for ₹35 = ₹0.14 per gram. The 1-kg pack is cheaper per gram, so it is better value.
