How the Board Paper Works
The CBSE Class 10 Mathematics (Standard) theory paper is 80 marks in 3 hours, with 38 compulsory questions. Another 20 marks come from internal assessment in school. Calculators are not allowed, and π is taken as 22/7 unless the question says otherwise.
| Section | Questions | Type | Marks |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | 1–18 | Multiple choice | 1 each |
| A | 19–20 | Assertion–Reason | 1 each |
| B | 21–25 | Very short answer | 2 each |
| C | 26–31 | Short answer | 3 each |
| D | 32–35 | Long answer | 5 each |
| E | 36–38 | Case studies (with internal choice in the 2-mark part) | 4 each |
The marks are spread over seven units. This lab gives more activities to the units that carry more marks. Every activity’s Solve it question is labelled with the section and marks it imitates.

How to use this lab before the board exam
Work unit by unit. For each activity, read the red Common mistake box first, then try to trigger that mistake on purpose and read the diagnosis. Finally, write the Solve it question out in full on paper, as you would in the exam, and compare it line by line. Use New data for unlimited practice.
Unit weightage follows the CBSE Class 10 Mathematics (Standard) curriculum. The section pattern follows the 2024–25 board papers. Check the current year’s CBSE curriculum and sample paper for any changes.
