AI Words I Now Know (Glossary)
These fourteen words are the vocabulary of artificial intelligence. Each one appeared somewhere in this book — this is your little AI dictionary.
- AI
- Artificial Intelligence — cleverness made by people, kept inside machines.
- Algorithm
- A step-by-step recipe given to a computer to solve a problem.
- Chatbot
- A program you can chat with, by typing or speaking.
- Data
- Tiny pieces of information — words, numbers, sounds, pictures.
- Drone
- A small flying machine, often with a camera. Can be controlled by AI.
- Machine Learning
- How AI learns from many many examples (its main study method).
- Model
- What AI becomes after learning. Like a brain made of patterns.
- Pattern
- A repeating idea that AI finds in data.
- Robot
- A machine with parts that move. Many robots use AI.
- Sensor
- A small device that ‘feels’ the world — heat, light, sound, water.
- Smart Speaker
- A speaker with AI inside, that listens and replies.
- Training Data
- The big collection of examples we give AI for learning.
- UPI
- Unified Payments Interface — India’s safe and fast way to pay.
- Voice-to-Text
- Changing spoken words into written letters using AI.
